In consideration for participation in the Tournament, the undersigned (or their guardian) understands and agrees to the following:
- Taido is a martial art. During the course of the Tournament (including preparations, training, and competition) contestants and other participants will be exposed to risks of personal injury.
- Contestants and participants are responsible for insurance and/or to cover costs for injury.
- The Tournaments officials reserve the right to require Taido Logo gear/protectors and Taido Logo Gi (uniform).
- Contestants, participants, and their representatives freely agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the Tournament, U.S. Taido Association Inc., and their representatives, officials, judges, and designees. The Tournament officials have the right to change rules and events prior to the start of each event and/or division.
- Contestants, participants, and their representatives agree to release and hold harmless the above (Tournament contestants, U.S. Taido Association, Inc., and their representatives, officials, judges, designees, sponsors, and facility owners and/or operators) and other Tournament participants from any and all claims or cause of actions arising out of preparation, attendance, or participation at and/or in the Tournaments, including but not limited to any claim for personal injury.
- Contestants and/or participants under the age of 18 are designated minors and must have a parent or guardian signature and a designated representative attending the tournament.
- In the event of an injury, U.S. Taido Association, Inc., and their representatives, officials, judges, and designees may seek medical services, including admission to a hospital for the applicant. In such an event, the below listed parent/guardian will be contacted.
- Contestants, participants, and their representatives certify that they are mentally and physically fit to compete and/or participate in the Tournament and associated events.
- Contestants, participants, and their representatives waive any compensation of any kind for use of their image in all pictures, videos, or other likeliness' or reproductions for media coverage, advertising brochures, press releases, interviews, internet presentation, for the production of this event or for future uses.
- Any person entering the tournament premises waives all civil liability against this premises owner/operator and/or U.S. Taido for any injuries caused by the inherent risk associated with contracting Covid-19 at public gatherings.
